Specification-level intelligence, delivered as a conversation.

We built and launched an AI-powered chatbot for DCP's international website that gives visitors a smarter way to explore their product range. The chatbot adapts to the visitor's language and country, delivering a localized experience across DCP's global markets. Instead of browsing catalogs or digging through PDFs, visitors ask questions in their own language and get accurate, specification-level answers drawn from DCP's full product database and technical documentation in real time.
DCP's product catalog is extensive, technically complex, and spans multiple countries and languages. Different visitors come with different needs: some browse, some know exactly what they want, and some need to ask questions to get there. The challenge was building an AI layer that serves that last group well — handling natural language queries across markets and languages, while keeping answers accurate, on-brand, and within the bounds of DCP's product knowledge.
But the idea carried real questions before any commitment to a full build. Could it answer accurately from dense technical content? Would visitors trust it enough to use it in public? Would the economics still hold once usage grew? Before scaling the build, DCP paused and asked us to prove some of it first.
We ran the work as a POC Lab engagement: a representative slice of DCP's product catalogue, turned into a working chat experience and tested against real questions. The point wasn't to launch the product — it was to make the next decision clearer. The POC answered the three questions that mattered, and DCP moved confidently into the full build that followed.
Building on what the POC validated, we developed a unified chat interface backed by a RAG architecture that combines DCP's product database with their technical specification PDFs into a single searchable knowledge base. The chatbot detects the visitor's language and country at the start of each session and tailors its responses accordingly, ensuring the experience feels local regardless of where the visitor is.
Built on a RAG architecture using AWS Bedrock and Claude, the chatbot is embedded directly into DCP's international website. It draws from DCP's product database and technical specification PDFs to generate accurate, conversational answers, and adapts its language and product context automatically based on where the visitor is browsing from.
DCP's international website now speaks to every visitor in their own language, with product knowledge that's relevant to their market. Visitors across DCP's global footprint get immediate, accurate answers to product and specification queries, and DCP's digital presence works as hard as their best local sales rep, in every country they operate in.
