Reimagining street shopping for the mobile age.

Shopwalk set out to reinvent the street retail experience by connecting shoppers to nearby stores through their phones. We built the MVP: a location-aware mobile platform that uses beacon technology to bridge the gap between walking down the street and discovering what's inside the shops around you.
Street retail was losing ground to eCommerce, but the in-person discovery experience still had something online couldn't replicate. Shopwalk wanted to capture that by building a platform that connects shoppers to shopkeepers in real time, based on proximity. The challenge was proving the concept quickly with a lean, buildable MVP.
We focused on speed to market, using Firebase to keep the backend lightweight and ship fast. The core experience combines iBeacons and Eddystone with geo-mapping and location-based notifications, letting shopkeepers reach nearby shoppers with timely, relevant messages.
Built on Firebase with Node.js for the backend and native Android and iOS apps, the platform integrates iBeacon and Eddystone proximity technology, geo-mapping, location-based push notifications, and in-app messaging. The architecture was designed to validate the concept with minimal overhead.
Shopwalk went from concept to market-ready MVP, proving that proximity-based retail engagement could work. The platform gave shopkeepers a new way to reach customers who are already walking past their doors.
