We extended DCP's mobile app with a loyalty program built for their customers in Doha, Qatar. Users can upload invoices from DCP product purchases, have their points automatically calculated against the products they bought, and redeem those points for rewards, all from within the app they already use to select products.
DCP wanted to build loyalty with customers and resellers in the Qatari market by rewarding repeat purchases. The challenge was making invoice submission as frictionless as possible, ensuring points are calculated accurately against specific products, and giving users a seamless rewards redemption experience without adding complexity to the existing app.
We integrated OCR powered by Google Gemini to handle invoice scanning, extracting product and purchase data automatically so users don't have to enter information manually. The points engine maps extracted data against DCP's product catalog to calculate earned points, and the rewards layer lets users track and redeem their balance directly in the app.
The loyalty program was built as an extension of DCP's existing mobile app, with a Laravel backend powering the points engine, invoice management, and rewards system. Google Gemini OCR handles automatic data extraction from uploaded invoices, and the frontend integrates into the existing React Native app experience.
DCP now has a loyalty program that rewards customers at every purchase touchpoint in Qatar. The OCR-powered invoice flow removes friction from participation, making it easy for customers and resellers to engage consistently and giving DCP a direct line to retention in the Qatari market.
