ShooFeeWasfat had built a following online, but their audience was increasingly on mobile. They needed an app that captures the joy of browsing recipes in a native experience, with search capabilities that go beyond basic keyword matching, including reverse search to find recipes by what you have in your kitchen.

We designed the app around browsing pleasure and discovery, with recipe search and reverse search features that let users find inspiration whether they know what they want to cook or are working with what's available. Social media sharing was woven into the experience to help recipes travel beyond the app.

Built on Yii with a native iOS app, the platform features recipe search, reverse search (find recipes by ingredients), a visually rich browsing experience, and social media sharing integration that makes it easy for users to share their favorite recipes with their network.

ShooFeeWasfat's audience can now browse and discover recipes from their phone with an experience built for how people actually cook: sometimes searching for a specific dish, sometimes just exploring what's possible with what's in the fridge.
